      <description>&lt;p&gt;If you work on a Windows-based computer, Notepad should be your friend (find it in Start&amp;#8212;&gt; Programs&amp;#8212;&gt; Accessories). Easily write yourself text notes, edit web pages, or any type of system files.&lt;/p&gt;


But, as with anything, there is a new generation of Notepad&amp;#8217;s out there. A few have quickly replaced Notepad for me:
	&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html" target=_blank&gt;Notepad2&lt;/a&gt;&amp;#8212;great enhanced Notepad-esque program. Free.&lt;/li&gt;
		&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href="http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm" target=_blank&gt;Notepad++&lt;/a&gt;&amp;#8212;more features than you can shake a stick at. Free too.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;/ul&gt;
